Urgent action: write to your MP today to demand a less toxic future
MPs are debating the post-Brexit Agriculture Bill which will decide the future of food and farming for generations to come.
The government has promised to cut pesticide use as part of a ‘green Brexit’ but the draft law doesn’t include anything to make sure this happens. Crucially, it also fails to provide farmers with the support they need to transition away from pesticides and adopt non-chemical alternatives.
But all is not lost. MPs have proposed changes to the Agriculture Bill which would better protect human health, wildlife and our natural environment from the harmful impacts of pesticides. Please write to your MP today and urge them to support a less toxic future by voting for these amendments.
It’s vital we don’t miss this unique opportunity to secure a healthier and more sustainable future.
